Massage Video: Indian Head Massage (Ayurvedic Massage)

Short instructional video provides instruction on how to give an Ayurvedic head massage.  Ayurveda is a form of traditional medicine that originated in India.  It is practiced all-across the world as a form of complementary or alternative medicine.

Watch as the massage therapist the treats the head, neck and face of her client in hopes of altering his "energy channels".  The practice of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic massage are believed to have been introduced to the United States and the West sometime in the 1970's.

While studies of this Indian head massage technique have been inconclusive at best, it is believed that that the treatment increases blood circulation while relaxing the client, which results in more blood-flow to the brain and a better overall sense of mental clarity.

This video is one-minute, twenty-nine seconds in length, and consists of no dialogue whatsoever.  Relaxing music, much like one could expect to hear inside a day spa takes the place of human speech.
